In a poignant moment for the automotive world, Jerermy Clarkson has gone for what is expected to be his last spin on the 2.8km Top Gear test track.
He said on his Twitter page: “My last ever lap of the Top Gear track is done. Bit sad leaving the place for the final time.”
Clarkson, as you’d expect, went out with a bang however, having completed a day on the track with a Ferrari 488 GTB, Mercedes AMG GT, and Ferrari La Ferrari.
“What car should I use?” The question asked below an image of all three on the track. Clarkson also tweeted that the last lap “raised a load of cash for a good cause”.
The Top Gear test track is located at the Dunsfold Aerodrome in the south of England.
