The new Mercedes-Benz A-Class has only just hit Australian shores, however, German tuning company BRABUS has come up with a plug and play unit to extract more performance from the A 250 Sport.

The Mercedes-Benz A 250 Sport features a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder that produces 155kW and 350Nm, matched up to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic (7G-DCT) transmission. Sprinting from 0-100km/h takes just 6.6 seconds.

The PowerXtra B25 kit just launched by BRABUS boosts to power figures to 180kW and 385Nm (a gain of 25kW and 35Nm). The improvement would most likely see the front-wheel drive Merc hit sub six-second dashes to 100km/h.

The kit comprises of a control unit that adapts to the factory engine management system via the harness for easy installation.

Prices for the 2013 Mercedes-Benz A250 Sport start from $49,900 (plus on road costs).

BRABUS components in Australia can be sourced through RamSpeed.
