ABT Audi TT RS upgrade announced, 95kW power boost

If the Audi TT RS isn’t meeting your acceleration needs, ABT has come up with a tuning package which boosts power by up to 95kW. Some styling and handling tweaks are also on offer.

ABT Audi TT RS tune

The Audi TT RS is one the quickest models in the Audi showroom. It comes with a cracking 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder engine producing 250kW, or 265kW in TT RS Plus form. All-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission direct the power.

ABT, one of the most renowned Audi tuners around, has developed a tuning package to amplify these already-potent foundations. The kit includes a larger turbocharger, a new air-to-air intercooler, a barking stainless steel exhaust system, and an ABT engine computer.

After the modifications, the TT RS produces 346kW and a massive 630Nm of torque – up from 450Nm. This enables the sports car to rocket from 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds, and speed on to a maximum of 285km/h.

To ensure the rest of the car is balanced and keeps up with the power, ABT offers a sports suspension setup which lowers the TT by 30mm. High performance brakes and a set of lightweight forged alloy wheels complete the package (19 or 20 inch).

The factory TT RS (review and video here) is already a very serious machine straight out of the box. We can only image what the car would go like with this tune.
