Another unique edition version of the Fiat 500 is being launched in Australia. It’s called the Abarth 695 Rivale special edition, designed to celebrate the heritage of the Riva brand.

Offered in hatch and cabriolet form, the Rivale edition’s most striking feature is a two-tone exterior in Riva Blue and Tributo Ferrari Grey. It also features a stain chrome front intake and rear bumper insert, satin trimming on the back door, and unique 17-inch Super Sport grey alloy wheels.

The special edition is based on the current 595 Competizione and comes powered by a 1.4-litre turbo four-cylinder engine that produces a meaty 132kW and 250Nm. Customers can opt for either a five-speed manual or five-speed automated manual.

In manual form the sprint from 0-100km/h takes a claimed 6.7 seconds, or 6.9 seconds with the auto. Going for the manual also includes a mechanical limited-slip differential. Fuel economy through the combined cycle is rated at 5.8L/100km for the auto and 6.0L/100km for the manual.

This is one of many special edition versions of the Fiat 500 that have been released over the years. Fulvio Antonelli, head of Abarth brand Australia, said:

“We’re delighted to bring this exclusive design to the Australian market. The Riva lifestyle complements that of an Abarth owner with exceptional refinement and power, coupled with unique Italian Artisan design, and a passionate heritage.”
