Lamborghini has been caught out testing an interesting Huracan on a mountainous road somewhere in Italy, with clues leading to a potential new Superleggera lightweight.
It’s said that a section of road was closed off by Lamborghini while it tested and photographed what some are speculating to be a Huracan Superleggera, or some other kind of hardcore variant of the mid-engined V10 supercar. You can see wider front guards and long vents just behind, and a huge carbon fiber rear wing.
So far, details are absolutely minimal, and photographs are few and far between, so we can only really speculate at this stage. By the looks of it, it’s not wearing any of the usual camouflage, which suggests Lamborghini is done testing and could now be doing some official photographs.
Lamborghini recently unveiled the rear-wheel drive LP 580-2 version of the Huracan and has hinted there will be more variants to come. If its past marketing structure is anything to go by, a stripped out lightweight wouldn’t be a surprise.
With the recent introduction of the LP 580-2, don’t expect to see this model break the surface any time soon, but we’re excited to see it when it does. More images can be found at HuracanTalk forum website where these images were first published.
