Mercedes-Benz tuning specialist Brabus has developed an upgrade package for the monumental GL 63 AMG and ML 63 AMG super SUVs. Called the B63S 700 Widestar, the package gives substantial enhancements to the styling and powertrain performance.
We’ll start with the most exciting bit, the engine. Based on the latest 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8, the 700 Widestar pack introduces two larger turbochargers, a full freer flowing stainless steel exhaust with 75mm down pipes, and a revised engine computer mapping.
As a result, the factory 410kW rating is boosted out to a colossal 515kW (700hp), while torque is pushed right out to a mega 960Nm which is available from just 2000rpm. This means the SUVs offer the same power output as the V12 Lamborghini Aventador supercar.
Ensuring the styling keeps up with the performance, Brabus has developed a full widebody bodykit, with bolstered wheel arches, front and rear spoilers, 22-inch alloy wheels, and a modified AIRMATIC suspension system which is capable of lowering the vehicle.
To top it all off, Brabus offers a unique array of interior options, such as special Brabus logos and mood lighting, to a full retrim in loads of different leather colours and highlights.
