2020 LDV D90 update announced for Australia

LDV has announced some updates for the D90 seven-seat SUV range in Australia, with some price cuts helping it become an even better value proposition.

Two main variants are available in Australia, including the base D90 and the D90 Executive. The Executive is also available in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, while the base is two-wheel drive only. All are powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine that produces 165kW and 350Nm, sent through a six-speed auto transmission.

The D90 is a large SUV going up against the likes of the Isuzu MU-X and Nissan Pathfinder. However, the D90 stands out with value and included features as its main attraction. For example, all models come with a huge 12-inch touch-screen infotainment system.

All models also come with three 12V power sockets inside, three USB ports, and a 220V power outlet rated at 150kW. For the driver there’s an 8.0-inch display sitting within the instrument cluster, smart key technology, electric folding side mirrors, LED headlights, and auto wipers as standard. Speaking about the update, Dinesh Chinnappa, general manager of LDV Australia, said:

“We’ve listened to the market, simplified our line-up and re-calibrated the LDV D90 for hard-working Australian families. The D90 is a demonstration of the advanced technical and design capabilities of LDV. Nothing in its segment comes close, particularly the range-topping D90 Executive, in terms of value for money, space, equipment, comfort and safety.”

Speaking of safety, all models come equipped with autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, and a blind-spot monitor with lane departure warning. Fatigue reminder and attention assist, roll movement intervention, traffic sign recognition, and a rear-view camera with front and rear parking sensors are also included in all. As a result, ANCAP has awarded five stars for safety.

The updated range is on sale in Australia from the following prices (drive-away):

2020 LDV D90 2WD auto 2.0T: $35,990
2020 LDV D90 Executive 2WD auto 2.0T: $39,990
2020 LDV D90 Executive 4WD auto 2.0T: $43,990
