Some sneaky photography has caught Chinese SUV brand Haval putting the final production touches on the upcoming production version of the Concept Coupe SUV that was unveiled earlier this year.
CarNewsChina managed to snap a pre-production version at what appears to be the factory, with the final assembly and trimmings being finished up.
Overall, it appears to have translated very well into production from the concept (below), with a very seductive and sporty front end, muscular front haunches, a fastback rump and slim lights. We dare say it could challenge the Jaguar F-Pace for aesthetic sex appeal, while inside it’s set to borrow heavily from Mercedes and Audi designs.
Being a small SUV the new model is expected to receive power from a 2.0-litre turbo generating around 135kW. In concept form it uses a plug-in hybrid powertrain promising an average consumption of 2.2L/100km.
In Australia the next offering to launch is set to be the H7, arriving in the second half of 2017, featuring a 170kW turbo engine, Getrag dual-clutch gearbox, along with a surround-view camera.
A hybrid offering will potentially be offered down the track, but it’s understood the company is not planning any diesel variants at this stage.
