With the spotlight shining over at the Shanghai motor show, Porsche took to the more modest AutoRai event in Amsterdam to announce a very special 911 4S Exclusive Edition, showing off a pristine Gulf Blue theme.

Porsche is limiting production to just 15 units for the Exclusive Edition, so you’ll have to be quick to buy one. It’s based on the regular Targa 4S, which itself is a unique open-top variant of the legendary 911.

So what makes this better than a regular Targa 4S? Well, aside from the classic Gulf Blue finish which pays respect to iconic Porsche race cars of yesteryear, it receives 20-inch Fuchs alloy wheels, a silver B-pillar hoop, classic decals, Dynamic Chassis Control, LED taillights, the Sport Chrono package as standard, and Porsche’s Dynamic Light System Plus.

There is also the option of a set of ceramic-composite brakes, and a power kit for the engine which boosts power to 316kW, from 294kW. The engine remains the same 3.8-litre flat-six unit that powers the regular 4S.

Inside the cabin there are some special touches too, like sporty leather seats with cool retro Pepita sections in the middle, unique stitching for various parts, and all of the luxury and sportiness of the 4S.

With only 15 to be produced by Porsche, we’re expecting these to become quite the collectors’ piece in the future, especially with the classic colour scheme.
