Bugatti Veyron chassis number 001 is set to go under the hammer in just one week at the upcoming RM Sotherbys auction in California.
The Veyron in question, finished in a two-toned red and black finish, has a beige interior and luxurious sports seats. This is perhaps the most iconic colour scheme for the ‘original’ Veyron.
This very car was Bugatti’s inspiration for the recently unveiled La Finale model, which features the same exterior and interior colour scheme.
It comes with a certified and unprecedented pre-owned warranty and service package, which alone costs $100,000. RM Sotherbys is expecting the Veyron to reach anything between US$1.8-2.4 million.
With just 1230km on the clock, the Veyron was first delivered to the East Coast of America and has since been located in California’s Beverly Hills. It comes with the famed 8.0-litre quad turbo W16 engine producing 736kW of power. On a long enough strip of tarmac, it’ll top out at 407km/h – once a world record.
With the Bugatti Veyron all but done and dusted, and its replacement having already been spied on the Nurburgring, it truly is one of the last opportunities to grab yourself a Bugatti masterpiece… Just don’t forget the chequebook.
