Sometimes there’s just nothing quite like a V8. The Ford Mustang GT500 Shelby Super Snake is perhaps one of the pinnacle icons of V8 muscle, featuring a 750hp supercharged engine. This rare right-hand drive version is up for sale in Australia.
Located in Queensland, the Super Snake has received a full right-hand drive conversion and is available for Australian road registration. It features all the Shelby options, and has an official build number of 104.
Special features include a full Shelby interior with sports seats donning the Snake logo. The logo is also on the cente armrest reminding passengers of the brutal performance that lurks beneath the bonnet.
Under the bonnet sits a 5.4-litre supercharged (twin screw type) V8 to the tune of 750hp, or 560kW. Acceleration from 0-100km/h can be handled in around 3.7 seconds, while top speed is over 270km/h.
The engine breathes through a bespoke fibreglass Shelby bonnet with a large intake vent along the front, while heat-extraction vents towards the rear of the bonnet keep things cool.
Other Shelby items include six-piston Baer front brakes, an aluminium drive shaft, 20-inch Alcoa alloy wheels, a carbon fibre front spoiler, and a full race suspension setup to make best use of all that power.
The owner is asking $190,000, which isn’t too bad considering it’s a factory vehicle with a supercar-munching 560kW. It also has just 2100km on the clock. For more details head over to original carsales advertisement.
