Bentley Flying Spur V8 S Black Edition purrs onto the scene

Another Black Edition has been launched by Bentley, and this time it’s the Flying Spur V8 S’s turn at the sinister street style.

Bentley says the Black Edition is for customers seeking a more “dynamic” aesthetic. We’re not sure dynamic is the right word – mischievous, perhaps?  It showcases, you guessed it, a range of dark or darkened highlights. Around the front end you might notice the tinted headlights with black bezels, and the gloss black grille and lower highlighting.

Gloss black extends to the window surrounds and door mirrors, and even the door handle inserts. All of this matches a set of 21-inch seven-spoke ‘Elegant’ pattern alloy wheels. Customers can specify black or red painted brake calipers hiding behind.

The interior features a number of piano black trimmings, along with a three-spoke Sport Plus steering wheel, and contrast stitching to bring out the interior setting. Of course, there are also plenty of personalisation options available for trim colours and combinations.

The Mulliner Driving Specification pack is also available for the Flying Spur S V8 Black Edition. It includes bespoke 21-inch five-spoke Directional Sports wheels, diamond-quilted leather for the seats and door trims, and contrast stitching.

As for the power? It comes from a brutish 4.0-litre twin-turbo VW Group V8 producing 389kW and 680Nm. This beastly engine is able to propel the massive sedan from 0-100km/h in just 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 306km/h.
