Volkswagen Australia has just announced the factory-developed Amarok ‘Dark Label’ will hit our shores in 2015. The dark-themed model sports various interior and exterior changes, giving the German ute a somewhat sinister appearance.
Two Dark Label models will be available; Highline TDI400 Selectable 4MOTION (six-speed manual), and TDI420TDI Permanent 4MOTION (eight-speed automatic). Pricing for the special model starts from $56,690 for the manual, and $59,990 for the automatic. All Amarok models use a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder.
The Amarok Dark Label features Bi-Xenon headlamps with LED daytime lamps, Matt black side steps and sports bar, black rear bumper, mirrors, and door handles, as well as darkened rear lights and ‘Dark Label’ insignia and stripes along the doors.
The 4MOTION ute also receives a set of 18-inch ‘Durban’ alloy wheels finished in black.
The Dark Label’s cabin includes unique features such as Alcantara trim with carbon fibre-look finish, heated front seats, and tailored floor mats.
Based on the Highline model, the Dark Label is equipped with a multi-function display with satellite navigation, and front and rear parking sensors as standard. The Highline model also features a braked towing capacity of 3000kg, and features a rear tray wide enough to swallow a full-size pallet.
Volkswagen Australia has announced it is expecting deliveries of the Amarok Dark Label to arrive in early 2015, with just 300 units of the special edition model up for grabs.
All Volkswagen Amarok utes come with a three-year/unlimited kilometre warranty and capped price servicing.
