Subaru’s all-new Impreza will soon arrive in Australia with a starting price of $22,400 for the base 2.0i, debuting Subaru’s new modular platform (Subaru Global Architecture) and a host of new features.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality is standard across the range, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels and an upgraded powertrain. The 2.0-litre flat four now generates 115kW and 196Nm, exclusively through a CVT transmission; manual is no longer available.
The next model up from the base 2.0i, the 2.0L adds Subaru’s acclaimed EyeSight driver assistance system, a larger touch-screen, dual-zone climate control and more. At the top of the range is the 2.0S, adding torque vectoring, automatic sensors for wipers and headlights, plus leather trim, and eight-way power front seats.
As part of Subaru’s recent servicing overhaul, which includes mobile service vans, the Impreza’s capped-price service program (CPS) costs $1289 over three years, with 12,500km intervals. Subaru says this saves $918.86 compared with the outgoing model.
The new model is on sale now, with customer deliveries scheduled to commence in December. See below for the starting prices (excludes on-roads) and further below for key features.
