If you want your new Porsche Macan to look a bit more exclusive compared with the regular range, Porsche Tequipment and Porsche Exclusive might have just the thing; the Porsche Design package.
Porsche’s accessories department is offering a range of neat options for the Macan, all pulled together to be called the Sport Design kit. It enhances various exterior and interior elements to give it a personalised look and feel.
Starting with the exterior, the Sport Design package includes front body extensions, side skirts, and a revised diffuser section at the back. A new roof spoiler is also added. All parts can be painted in body colour or high gloss black.
Some of the mechanical details include a set of 21-inch Sport Classic alloy wheels inspired by the classic ‘Fuchs’ wheels on the old 911, available in three different colours, as well as tinted LED taillights, smoked bi-xenon headlights, and a full sports exhaust system with modified silencers and bi-modal control from within the cabin.
Inside, Porsche says the options are ever-expanding. You can get Limed Oak trimmings for the instrument panel and doors, and leather for finer attention to detail around the centre dash fascia and on-board infotainment system.
Overall, the Sport Design package certainly gives the new mid-size SUV a more distinguished look. The Macan will go on sale in Australia later this year. It’s expected to be the company’s best-selling model, especially with prices starting at a reasonably low $84,900 (for a Porsche).
