Aston Martin has unveiled a new Vanquish special edition, called the Vanquish Ultimate – back by popular demand. As you might have guessed, it is the ultimate version of the Vanquish.
It’s based on the Vanquish S and it features a number of cosmetic tweaks to give it a racier look. You might have noticed the Ultimate Black paint theme, for starters, which debuted on the original Vanquish Ultimate. This is paired with Copper Bronze highlights around the front end, side sills, and the tracing around the rear diffuser.
Almost all trimmings are in black as well, such as the window trims, five-spoke allow wheels, exhaust outlets, and the eye-popping brake calipers. Carbon fibre is used to further dress up the appearance, for the bonnet vents, front grille and side grilles, and tread plates.
Inside, the cabin showcases Obsidian Black leather with Chestnut Tan accents, with more carbon fibre used for the interior garnishes. Buyers can also option for Electron Yellow accents and Spectral Blue stitching with Phantom Grey leather.
If these combinations don’t suit you, Aston Martin is presenting two other themes including an Xenon Grey exterior and Cobalt Blue highlights, and White Gold with Bronze highlights. Marek Reichman, Aston Martin CEO, said:
“With the Ultimate Edition we have accentuated the Vanquish S’s unique blend of tradition, technology and craftsmanship with a selection of three bold exterior paint schemes and hugely appealing interior packages that make creative use of exciting materials. Our design team has created three unique themes which unite an exterior and interior package, but we have been careful to ensure each exterior colour and interior theme work well together to offer our customers maximum choice.”
Power for the sexy beast comes from a 5.9-litre naturally aspirated V12 producing 444kW, like in the regular Vanquish S. This grunt is sent through an eight-speed automatic with rear-wheel drive. Drivers can play around with three-stage adaptive dampers for added versatility.
Just 175 examples of the new Vanquish Ultimate edition will be made, in coupe and Volante convertible form. These will go up for grabs around the world.
