Hungarian company, KAMManufaktur, has released its stunning new restomod on the Porsche 912, which can be all yours for the small price of AU$588,000.
While the 912 has always been one of the odd members of the Porsche bunch, KAMManufaktur saw it as a prime opportunity to bring it into the 21st century with highlights like full carbon bodywork and a beefed-up version of the original air-cooled 2.0-litre four-cylinder.
KAMManufaktur has managed to extract 141kW and 228Nm from the four-pot that revs out to 7200rpm, with fuel injection replacing the carbies and a new Life Racing ECU. Combine that with its 750kg wet weight figure and you’ve got yourself a fun little package in your hands.
Underneath, the 912c boasts a restored and reinforced chassis, front and rear coilovers and a set of AP Racing brakes for the 17-inch rims wrapped in Yokohama rubber.
Power is thrown to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual working alongside a ZF limited-slip differential, with the acoustic bliss provided by a stainless steel exhaust system.
Inside, the 912c receives a set of carbon fibre seats for the focussed cabin, though there is a modern air-conditioning system to keep you cool.
If you’re interested, KAMManufaktur is charging the equivalent of AU$588,000 for the 912c project, although you can drop that down to $521,000 with your own 912 donor car.
