Renowned BMW tuner and former motorsport partner AC Schnitzer has worked its magic on the all-new BMW M4 coupe, giving it unique styling inside and out, and a kick in the kicks for extra speed.
The special package is being unveiled at the 2014 Essen Motor Show in Germany. The show is a must-attend event on the auto calendar, bringing together hundreds of tuners and specialty items focused on the aftermarket world.
For the M4, AC Schnitzer has designed some bespoke body trimmings to give the sports car a more exclusive look. There’s a carbon fibre front spoiler system, carbon side mirrors, and a cool carbon fibre rear diffuser encompassing unique quad-outlet exhausts. Buyers can also option for a racy rear wing.
To finish off the exterior AC offers a range of custom alloy wheel designs, including sizes up to 21 inches. One set of wheels on this show car feature a double-spoke layout with dark inner spokes to match the various carbon fibre trimmings, while another example goes for a dark and sinister look.
To match the show with some go, AC has developed a subtle tune for the 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline six. In standard form the unit from BMW M produces 317kW. After the tune, power is boosted to a much more serious 375kW. Considering the standard car does 0-100km/h in 4.1 seconds, this package should be able to cream it in around 3.5 seconds.
Lastly, the German company also presents various interior upgrades, such as exquisite aluminium pedals and footrest, a custom handbrake cover and gear shifter, and some velour mats and other alloy highlights.
