The clues were correct, Aston Martin was indeed planning to reveal the new Vanquish Carbon Edition as previewed a couple of days ago.
The Vanquish Carbon Edition is based on the recently updated Vanquish, which means it gets a refined version of the company’s widely used 5.9-litre V12 engine, producing 424kW of power and 630Nm of torque.
There’s no further boost in power for the Carbon Edition. Instead, the special model is garnished with loads of carbon fibre parts and accessories, such as a rear diffuser, side skirts, side mirrors, grilles, and front spoiler.
Other unique highlights include black side window surrounds for that stealthy and sinister look, as well as black headlight eyebrows to match, and a set of bespoke 10-spoke non-DT alloy wheels also coated in black.
Inside carries a similar theme, with a carbon fibre dash fascia presenting the occupants with a cool cockpit-like atmosphere, while the driver gets carbon fibre paddle shifters to play with. A cranking Bang & Olufsen audio unit ensures the perfect sounds are produced, with black anodised speaker grilles.
In terms of the driving performance, the Vanquish Carbon comes with 398mm carbon ceramic disc brakes clamped by six-piston calipers. The calipers can be had in either black, grey, red, or yellow calipers. There’s also a three-stage stability control program, traction control, and positive torque control.
Aston Martin is offering the Carbon Edition in either coupe or open-top convertible form. Enquiries are being taken now.
