A Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Black has lapped the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife in Germany in 7:46, which is around 15 seconds quicker than the normal C 63 AMG Coupe.
It’s no wonder it’s that much quicker, really, since it comes with all the fruit one would expect in a proper hunkered-down track-ready monster. There’s active aero all round, including a carbon rear diffuser and front splitter, as well as performance suspension and a very meaty engine.
Making the power is a 6.2-litre V8 pushing out 380kW and 620Nm of torque, backed up by a seven-speed AMG SpeedShift MCT. Mercedes-Benz says it’s enough to smash 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds.
As previously reported, all 32 C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series examples destined for Australia have already been sold. However, Mercedes-Benz Australia has said the allocation may be expanded out in the future.
The Nurburgring time of 7:46 puts it ahead of many other greats, such as the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 (7:52), BMW M3 GTS (7:48), and the Ferrari 599 GTB (7:47) according to Wikipedia.
