Regard yourself as a bit of a sporting chap in the fields? Bentley has just come up with a package that might be of interest to you; the “Ultimate Field Sports Lifestyle Accessory” pack. It is just a concept for now but such accessories could soon be offered on the market.
Designed by Bentley’s Mulliner personalisation department and in partnership with Purdey, a renowned shotgun manufacturer, the package introduces a special shooting storage compartment in the cargo area. It comprises of a dual sliding stowage draws.
The draws contain areas for cartridges, binoculars, protective wear, and of course drinks (because nothing goes together better than guns and alcohol). There’s also a lockable case for two shotguns in between the rear seats, covered in a custom leather trim. A bespoke Purdey bag can also be specified, featuring a waistcoat, field coat, waterproof cape, gaiters, shoes, and an overnight bag. Speaking about the one-off package, Bentley said:
“Inspired by Purdey and classic countryside pursuits, Mulliner has used the finest authentic materials – and paid attention to every detail – to create this unique accessory for the rural sporting life.”
No changes are made to the fundamentals of the giant SUV. Power comes from a 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine producing 447kW and 900Nm, capable of propelling guests and their guns from 0-100km/h in just 4.1 seconds. The top speed is over 300km/h.
To ensure it can venture as far a field sportsman wants to go, the Bentayga comes with adjustable suspension, with four different modes. There’s high 2, high 1, normal, and low. Each of these alters the ride height of the SUV, while a switch in the cargo area can also separately lower the rear end for easier access.
As mentioned, the Purdey pack isn’t exactly on sale right now but we’re sure if there is enough demand from buyers with enough cash, Bentley and Mulliner will be happy to fulfil your requirements.
