Bentley has revealed the new Continental GT Speed, boasting a more powerful engine, while a new special edition called the Black Edition has been introduced.
Starting with the regular version, the GT Speed features a 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine that’s been boosted from 465kW and 820Nm to 472kW and 840Nm.
More torque is available throughout the rev range for improved low-end pick up and driveability. As a result, the new GT Speed can cover 0-100km/h in just 4.1 seconds, while the top speed is 331km/h.
For the Black Edition Bentley has decided to go with the trending darkened theme, fitting 21-inch black alloy wheels with gloss black window trimmings, lamp bezels, side mirrors and door mouldings.
Various pieces of the bodykit on the Black Edition can be painted in various colours, including the front lip spoiler, rear diffuser, and side skirts. Customers can select between St James Red, Hallmark, and Cyber Yellow.
For the interior there’s a smattering of carbon fibre trimmings for the centre console, with various leather upholstery options ranging from Pillar Box Red, Beluga, Porpoise, and Cyber Yellow. Each seat features contrast stitching with diamond-quilted patterns.
The new models are on sale now in overseas markets. Bentley’s Australian arm is yet to announce local prices and details, however, we expect them to arrive later in the year.
