Prices and local specs for the 2017 Holden Colorado have been announced for Australia, just ahead of its official market launch penned for September.
As before, the Colorado is being offered in 4×2 and 4×4 guise, but in three main variant grades; the LS, LT, LTZ, and the top Z71. Some of these are only available in certain body styles.
The 2017 range consists of single-cab, space-cab, crew-cab, and dual-cab formats. All have been rated the full five-star safety standard by ANCAP, and all have undergone extensive Australian tuning.
Power comes from a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine producing 147kW and 500Nm, making it one of the more powerful options around. This engine is fitted to all variants, and comes hooked up to a six-speed manual or auto.
Base model LS variants come with 16-inch steel wheels, vinyl flooring, power steering and cruise control, and Holden’s latest MyLink interface including a 7.0-inch touch-screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Stepping up to the LT gains 17-inch alloy wheels, carpet flooring, front fog lights and side steps, while the LTZ gets 18s, an 8.0-inch touch-screen with sat-nav, auto wipers, an alloy sports bar, and climate control.
At the top of the range is the Z71 (pictured). This is kitted out with plenty of attitude, coming with 18-inch alloy wheels and a full-size spare, a unique sports bar, Z71 logos, a leather interior with more Z71 branding, along with a number of black exterior highlights.
The new model arrives in showrooms, according to Holden, in “early September”. See below for starting prices (excludes on-roads):
