The Holden Colorado has received some notable updates for 2015, including more-refined noise and vibration levels, new ‘premium’ interior upgrades, and new comfort-tuned suspension for LTZ models.
The new ‘comfort suspension’ in LTZ models the consists of a revised spring rate and damper tune as well as a new stiffer front stabiliser bar. Holden says the new setup “improves ride balance and isolation resulting in a smoother, more comfortable ride, particularly on urban roads”.
LTZ models also now include fresh interior enhancements, including heather leather appointed seats (optional on LTZ crew cab), and new Jet Black soft touch surface fascias and centre console.
All Colorado models benefit from a new acoustic package which Holden says “reduces airborne noise and vibration making highway and urban driving quieter and a more comfortable and enjoyable experience”. Also now standard across the board is hill descent control and hill start assist, as well as the option of a new “stealth-like” colour called Satin Steel Grey.
In terms of the Colorado’s strength in the market place, for the month of October Holden sold 212 4×2 models (6.5 per cent market share), and 1121 4×4 models (10.3 per cent market share), for a total sales figure of 1333. Toyota sold the most 4×2 and 4×4 utes in this period, amassing 3228 sales in total.
