The new 2014 model Bentley Continental GT Speed has been revealed. It gets a more powerful engine that makes it the company’s fastest road-going vehicle its ever made.
Visual changes are minimal. There’s a new front spoiler, new side skirts, and a revised diffuser setup at the back painted in the same colour as the body. The headlights, taillights and 21-inch alloy wheels have also been given a dark tinted look.
Under the bonnet is where you’ll find the main update. There sits an uprated 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine now producing 467kW (up from 460kW) of power and 819Nm of torque (up from 800Nm).
Out on the tarmac, the boosted unit results in a top speed of 331km/h. This is the fastest top speed of any production Bentley ever. Even the convertible version is capable of an impressive 327km/h.
Some changes have been made to the interior, with monotone textures, accent stripes in contrasting colours, a new centre console area and gear lever, and a new ‘Speed’ chrome badge sitting on the passenger side.
The new model will hit the showrooms later this year. Local prices are yet to be announced.
