Another teaser image of the sexy Jaguar F-Type Coupe has been released in the build up to its unveiling later this week. This time we get a glimpse of the roofline and C-pillar.
The F-Type, first introduced in convertible form earlier this year, has been quite popular in Australia and abroad. So far this year (as of October VFACTS), Jaguar Australia has sold 55 examples after being on sale for just a few months.
As for the coupe version, it is expected to be even more popular, featuring the same curvy body as the drop-top only with a fixed roof. The C-pillars and roof are likely to increase body rigidity and in turn improve handling performance.
Engine packages are set to be carried over from the Roadster, including the 3.0-litre supercharged V6s with 250kW and 280kW, and the mighty 5.0-litre supercharged V8 with 364kW.
A fourth option is believed to be the works as well, potentially involving Ford’s 2.0-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder as seen in the Jaguar XF and Range Rover Evoque. It produces 177kW in these models.
Jaguar will unveil the coupe at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 19, before hitting the market early next year.
