SRT, the performance division of Chrysler-Dodge, has announced a new special edition for all of the track enthusiasts out there. Called the SRT Viper Time Attack, the Viper is treated with a number of beefed up components to support track stints.
Just 33 examples will be made, and all of them will feature the bright ‘Crusher Orange’ colour scheme as seen here. All of them are powered by the same 8.4-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine as the regular Viper too, producing 477kW and 814Nm.
Where they do differ from the regular version is in the handling and braking departments. The Viper Time Attack comes with semi-adjustable Damptronic Bilstein suspension paired with a carbon fibre X-brace.
To help the big US muscle car pull up on time, every time, the Viper Time Attack comes with a full Brembo brake package with larger discs and multi-piston calipers.
Other unique highlights include a smattering of carbon fibre body trim pieces, such as the front and rear spoilers, while inside is treated to a leather upholstery with ‘Crusher Orange’ stitching.
The special edition will go on sale in the US during the third quarter of this year. Prices will start at US$120,500, which is around US$20,000 more expensive than the regular Viper.
