A very rare and limited-edition two-door Range Rover has debuted at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in the form of the Range Rover SV Coupe.
This is the first two-door Range Rover since the first-generation model, which spanned three decades from 1970-1996. It is a high-end bespoke version to commemorate almost 50 years since the inception of the original Range Rover. Hand-built at the company’s SVO Technical Centre, it packs a high performance punch and exclusivity, with only 999 examples being produced.
The powerplant is a 416kW/700Nm 5.0-litre supercharged V8, with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission taking care of shifting duties. This means the full-size coupe SUV can sprint from 0-100km/h in 5.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 266km/h.
Other highlights include Nautica veener wood trim, semi-anilinie leather with diamond quilt stitching, a two-tone colour theme for the front and rear bucket seats, and a 1700W, 23-speaker Meridian 3D Signature sound system for phenomenal audio quality. Alloy wheel designs range from 21 inches in diameter to an available 23 inches. Designer Gerry McGovern had this to say:
