Not happy with your Mercedes E 63 AMG S’s 800Nm torque figure? German tuner Posaidon has come up with a performance kit that pushes power well beyond the factory figures thanks to some new mechanical parts and electronic trickery.
In standard form the W212 Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG S produces 430kW and 800Nm from its 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8, and is capable of shooting from 0-100km/h in 4.1 seconds.
Install Posaidon’s RS 850 kit and power lifts to a gargantuan 627kW and 1300Nm – an overall increase of 197kW and 500Nm. The kit includes two new bigger turbochargers with new turbo downpipes, a new custom exhaust with sports catalytic converters, and a new air intake. After the installation of these parts the ECU is then retuned to make sure everything works together in horsepower harmony.
Maximum speed for E 63’s sporting Posaidon’s RS 850 kit is electronically limited to 345km/h, which is probably enough for most people anyway? Both the seven-speed automatic gearbox and rear axle have also been tuned to better cope with the increase in power and torque. Owners can also opt for some light cosmetic enhancements to give the executive sedan a more exclusive look, as showcased here.
The E 63 AMG S is currently on sale in Australia with prices starting from $250,930. If you’re in the market for a new E 63 AMG S be sure to get a quote through PerformanceDrive’s Car Buying team. We can save you $1000s.
