Yes, as you might have anticipated, more and more tuning programs are being developed for the new 2012 BMW M5. One of the latest, called the Manhart Racing MH5 S-Biturbo, is set to offer up to 541kW.
In standard form, the M5 comes with a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 412kW of power and 680Nm of torque. Manhart Racing has an initial tuning program on offer, which increases power and torque to 466kW and 780Nm.
If that’s not enough, Manhart Racing is sorting further tuning programs, including the replacement of major components such as turbochargers, down pipes, and full exhaust systems.
With the upgrades, Manhart Racing is seeing potential engine power increases to 493kW, and as high as 541kW for the full whack-in-the-back package. For now though only the initial package is available.
To help the new M5 handle all the extra grunt more effectively, the tuning company also offers adjustable suspension packages, lowering the 5 Series by 35mm at the front and 30mm at the rear.
To top it all off, you can also get yourself a set of offset 20- and 21-inch alloy wheels.
