Some very interesting renderings have hit the web, giving us all a hint of what the upcoming 2015 Mazda MX-5 might look like. The images are not official but even so, all the traits are there.
Using a blend of the latest Mazda3’s design and the latest Mazda6, X-Tomi Design may have hit the nail right on the head with these digital drawings.
At the front you can see Mazda’s drooping grille layout is used, highlighted by some polished metal trimming, while at the back it looks a bit like the Mazda6 only a lot sexier, with curvaceous haunches and a sporty diffuser section underneath with twin tailpipes.
As reported earlier in the week, the 2015 Mazda MX-5 is set to come with a separate design theme to the Mazda3 and 6, despite carrying on the company’s KODO styling language.
It’s also expected to come with a new naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, both more powerful and more efficient than the current engine.
A full unveiling is tipped to take place at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
