Renault Australia is announcing a range of updates for the introduction of the 2017 model year Clio range, adding more standard kit and sharping pricing.
Four main variant lines are being offered in Australia, spanning from the Life, Zen, Intens, to the top GT-Line. All come with a dual-clutch automatic except for the entry-level Life which is available with either manual or automatic.
The exterior has come in for some minor revisions, with body-coloured side mirrors and door handles, a chrome trimming for the hatch lid and other areas, along with 16-inch ‘Flex’ wheels as standard. Some of the highlights inside include auto headlights and wipers, a rear-view camera which is impressive for a base model compact car, and hands-free push-button start.
Stepping up to the Zen gets you Pure Vision LED headlights, front parking sensors, various gloss black trimmings for the exterior, and 16-inch ‘Pulsize’ alloy wheels. Meanwhile the interior gets a more comprehensive touch-screen interface with sat-nav and voice command.
Next up, the Intens adopts Renault’s R-Link touch-screen system with sat-nav and multimedia connectivity and in-built apps. It also comes with 17-inch wheels, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, velvet and artificial leather upholstery, and tinted rear windows.
At the top, the sporty GT-Line is distinctly styled with 17-inch ‘Serdar’ alloy wheels, a discreet bodykit with aero sections, satin grey side mirrors, bespoke front and rear bumper bar inserts, while the interior showcases, Renault Sport seats with blue highlights, aluminium pedals, and a leather handbrake handle.
