Jaguar first previewed the production version of the F-Pace after a long, long period of spy shots, rumours and teasers before the Frankfurt Motor Show last year. Keeping in line with the British company’s showroom, the F-Pace is offered in four trim variants, with an added special edition to celebrate its launch.
It spans from the Prestige, R-Sport, Portfolio and S, as well as the F-Pace First Edition which is priced from $117,210 (plus on-roads). The special First Edition F-Pace is available in extremely limited numbers, receiving special touches like two unique paint finishes, 22-inch Double Helix alloys, and power from either Jag’s 280kW supercharged V6 petrol or 221kW V6 diesel. Jaguar’s design director, Ian Callum said:
“By remaining absolutely true to our design principles the all-new F-PACE is immediately recognisable as a Jaguar. It offers all of the interior space you would expect – and more – but because of our disciplined approach to surfaces, proportions, and purity of line, we have designed what I consider to be the most balanced, most attractive vehicle in its class.”
The F-Pace is expected to be popular with Australian consumers, especially considering how ripe the market is for SUVs at the moment. Expect to see these popping up everywhere when deliveries commence on August 1. Starting prices are as follows:
