In this video, August Achleitner, Manager of the Porsche 911 model line, gives us an intriguing look into the development of the latest 2012 (991) Porsche 911.
Porsche revealed the all new 2012 Porsche 911 at this year’s IAA Frankfurt Motor Show – power ratings for new 2012 Porsche (991) 911 Carrera and the 2012 Porsche (991) 911 Carrera S will be 257kW and 294kW, respectively, and both will be available with an all-new seven-speed manual transmission, as well as Porsche’s PDK dual-clutch transmission.
Just over a week ago, the 2012 Porsche 911 lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife in 7:40, around 13 seconds faster than the 997 predecessor and around as fast as the previous model Porsche 911 GT3. Now that’s impressive.
Australian pricing for the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera will start at $229,900 for the Carrera and $263,100 for the Porsche 911 Carrera S. The new 911 will hit local showrooms in March 2012, after European sales commence in December this year.
Watch on to see August Achleitner talk about the development of the exciting new model.
