Honda Australia is sprucing up its City and HR-V range with the introduction of the LE special editions. These packages boost overall value.

2016 Honda HR-V LEFor the City LE, Honda has packed in $4000 worth of added features over the VTi-L model. It includes a Modulo sports bodykit with front and rear spoilers, a bespoke sports grille, as well as metallic paint as standard, and parking sensors.

As for the HR-V compact SUV, Honda has fit 17-inch alloy wheels to the LE, side steps, rear parking sensors, front fog lights, and a limited edition badge. This is all based on the VTi variant, which is the entry model in the range. These enhancements are worth $3200.

Honda says the HR-V continues to be one of its most popular models. In fact, so far this year the local arm has sold 6744 examples (through June). This makes it the third-best selling SUV in the class, and the best-selling Honda behind the Jazz (4561 sales). Honda Australia director Stephen Collins said;

“Over the years, Honda’s Limited Edition models have provided a strong value proposition for customers cross-shopping against other brands. After strong customer interest and the success of this year’s CR-V Limited Edition, we’re now extending the offer across the City and popular HR-V.”

Prices start at $22,990 for the City LE, and from $26,490 for the HR-V LE (up $1500 from regular VTi). Prices exclude on-road costs.
