Mazda’s North American branch has released a promotional video showcasing the weight distribution of the new MX-5, featuring impressive balancing act.

2016 Mazda MX-5 balance

One of the Mazda MX-5’s biggest trump cards is of course its 50/50 weight distribution. This, combined with lightweight and sporty suspension, maximizes its handling capability. After all, it is an MX-5; a pure driver’s car.

The Mazda MX-5 is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder producing 96kW, or a 2.0-litre SKYACTIV four-cylinder developing 115kW (coming to Australia at a later date). This is sent through to the road via a six speed manual or optional automatic gearbox.

The fourth generation MX-5 will hit showrooms here in Australia in August. Prices start at $31,990.
