There’s a lot of anticipation for the all-new Ferrari Enzo ‘F70’, known as the Ferrari F150, going around at the moment. And now there’s confirmation the epic hypercar will be unveiled in February.
Speaking with Auto Motor und Sport, Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo confirmed the successor to the Enzo will show its face next month. He also revealed several new variants of the California are on the way. Could we see a California turbo soon as previously speculated?
When asked it Ferrari would ever produce an SUV or a sedan, Montezemolo said that these types of vehicles aren’t ’emotional’ enough for the exotic Italian brand. He said if customers wish to purchase a similar sort of vehicle they can rely on Maserati for that.
He said Ferrari will remain producing dedicated two-door sports cars that combine “performance and driving pleasure”.
In regards to a cheaper, entry-level model for the future, one with a smaller engine and a lighter weight nature, Montezemolo simply said, “A smaller and cheaper Ferrari is not a Ferrari”, shutting down any possibility of future presence in those market segments.
As for the company’s next flagship model, which is set to be both the first-ever hybrid Ferrari and the most powerful production Ferrari, we’ll be sure to keep you updated with any news that comes through. And of course provide full coverage of the reveal.
