You might remember some of DP Motorsports other cool Porsche 911 projects. This latest one is based on the 964 and it has been kitted out to look like a retro previous-gen 930 type.
The beauty of basing a project on a newer 911 is that you have some of the modern technologies, such as the 3.6-litre flat-six. DP offers a range of tunes for the engine, belching out from 213kW to a 3.8-litre stroker with 243kW.
As you can see, the body is made to look like an older model 911, with a retro lime green paint colour contrasted by a matt black bonnet and engine cover. There’s also a set of 17-inch Fuchs-style wheels with 215mm front and 255mm rear tyres.
Take a look inside and you’ll see fixed old-school bucket seats, a thin three-spoke Momo sports steering wheel, and some unique green highlights such as the rev tacho and roll cage.
Overall it seems like a neat remake of a classic, with a good mix of components and after-market accessories. All there is left to do is go for a big weekend drive along your favourite road. Wouldn’t it be nice?
