Mercedes-Benz tuning giant BRABUS has developed upgrade packages for the sleek new Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake. Upgrades span from serious engine power gains to subtle yet distinctive styling tweaks.
Starting with the engines, BRABUS provides tunes for the CLS 350 CDI Blue EFFICIENCY through the use of an ECO PowerXtraD6S engine computer. Engine power is boosted from the standard 195kW rating to a very meaty 230kW output. Acceleration from 0-100km/h can be dispatched in 5.9 seconds.
For the CLS 500 Blue EFFICIENCY, a similar tuning program boosts output for the standard 4.7-litre twin-turbo V8, bumping power from 300kW to a mighty 368kW and 720Nm. With the speed limiter removed, the sexy wagon can hit 300km/h.
Lastly, but certainly not leastly, BRABUS has worked its magic on the full-cream CLS 63 AMG version. The standard 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8, producing up to 410kW (Performance Package option), is boosted to a mind-blowing 455kW and 1000Nm. It can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of 320km/h.
To give the CLS Shooting Brake a bespoke touch, BRABUS also offers a range of styling tweaks, from 20-inch mono block alloy wheels measuring 10.5 inches on the rear, to discreet front and rear spoilers and additional aero trimmings.
The Shooting Brake’s stance and handling prowess is topped off by a full Bilstein sports suspension setup, while a clutch-type limited-slip differential is also available across the board to further enhance grip and handling.
Inside can be reupholstered in high quality BRABUS Mastik leather and Alcantara, while the instrument cluster can be replaced by a bespoke BRABUS unit including a 340km/h speedo. BRABUS will even fit a custom iPad interface into the dash if requested.
Overall, it’s a very neat package once again by BRABUS. BRABUS parts can be ordered in Australia through RamSpeed in Sydney. The CLS Shooting Brake is set to go on sale locally early next year.
