Video: Rare Jaguar E-Type just misses $30m Ferrari 250 GTO

There’s a new contender for most expensive automotive near-miss in history following the Goodwood Revival event last week, with a Jaguar E-Type just avoiding a Ferrari 250 GTO.

As you’re probably well aware, the Jaguar E-Type is indeed an expensive, desirable piece of automotive folklore, but pales in comparison to the $30 million Ferrari 250 GTO it nearly cleaned up.

The driver of the Jaguar was a little over-eager into the entry of the corner, narrowly avoiding Jo Bamford’s 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO. The GTO has such a stratospheric asking price due to a limited production of just 39 units over two years between 1962-64.
