Tanner Foust tears up the tarmac in the VW Beetle GRC

Remember the crazy Volkswagen Beetle GRC rally car built for the Global RallyCross? A video has been put together previewing the car’s tyre-tearing performance and is gathering interest on Rally driver Tanner Foust’s YouTube channel.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the slow-mo donuts, tyre smoke, and clever message at the end. A full video of the demonstration is coming.

For those that don’t remember, the VW Beetle GRC is powered by a 1.6-litre TSI turbo producing a colossal 405kW. It’s capable of thrashing 0-100km/h in just 2.1 seconds… as you can probably tell in the video.
