All 32 of the brand-new 2012 Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series examples headed for Australia have already been sold out. Official pricing was announced just a few weeks ago, and deliveries aren’t scheduled to take place until April.

For those who don’t know, the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series is the anabolic version of the new, and already muscly, C 63 AMG Coupe. It features various performance track-focused enhancements.

It’s also the successor to the previous Mercedes-Benz CLK (now called the C-Class Coupe) AMG Black Series. Mercedes-Benz general manager of sales, Richard Emery, recently said,

“I can’t say I’m surprised but we’re certainly overwhelmed by the quick response. We’ll continue to work with AMG to secure more vehicles as not only have we sold out of our C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series allocation, but we now have a wait list.

“At this stage we don’t know how many more we can secure, but I know the number of additional vehicles won’t be high due to global demand.”

The coupe comes with a a 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 producing 380kW of power and 620Nm of torque. It’s able to power off from 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds.

Making it very obvious to distinguish from the outside is a full DTM racing-style bodykit with heavily pumped wheel arches and extensive front and rear spoilers, as well as a focused interior with bucket seats and plenty of Alcantara trimmings.

We’ll keep you updated in regards to any additional units being brought into Australia as soon as we hear more.
