Maserati GranCabrio Sport now available in Australia

Maserati has announced the new Maserati GranCabrio Sport; the fastest, most powerful convertible Maserati on sale. The stunning drop-top is available now from $338,000.

The Maserati GranCabrio Sport is a step up from the base model GranCabrio. It features various performance-oriented highlights such as restyled front and rear bumper bars, and various aerodynamics improvements.

Under the bonnet, there’s a 4.7-litre naturally aspirated V8 producing 331kW of power and 510Nm of torque – it’s essentially the same engine as seen in the GranTurismo MC Stradale.

Maserati says it’s able to propel the convertible from 0-100km/h in 5.2 seconds, and on to a top speed of 285km/h. Acceleration is made more monumental thanks to Maserati’s MC Auto Shift sports automatic transmission.

With a convertible, there’s obviously a certain amount of interest in the roof. With the Maserati GranCabrio Sport, it’s a soft-top design featuring five cross bars and three layers to protect it from flapping or ballooning at speed. At one touch of a button, it’s able to fold down in 20 seconds, at speeds below 30km/h.

Other highlights, apart from the entire gob-smacking package of course, includes high performance brakes, active ‘Skyhook’ sports suspension, and an exquisite luxury leather interior. Molto bello!
