Lamborghini Urus Pearl Capsule edition debuts with MY2021

Lamborghini is showing off some of the personalisation possibilities available for the Urus through its Centro Stile department, today revealing a special edition of the super SUV to coincide with the arrival of the model year 2021.

Called the Urus Pearl Capsule, it’s being pitched as the first customisation option for the Urus via the special operations division. The team has coated the SUV in an exclusive two-tone theme consisting of high-gloss four-layer pearl in either Giallo Inti (yellow), Arancio Borealis (orange), or Verde Mantis (green).

The exquisite paint finish is topped off with a high-gloss black roof, rear diffuser, rear lip spoiler and other black highlights. Matt grey exhaust tips give it an extra sporty and exclusive touch, while the wheels measure a whopping 23 inches and are coated in gloss black with body colour highlights.

As for the interior, the decor is made up of a unique two-tone combination as well. Hexagonal stitching, called Q-Citura, is included in the upholstery, with logos embroidered on the seats, and carbon fibre and black anodised aluminium for various details. Lamborghini is also offering exclusive perforated Alcantara as an option. Speaking about the model, Lamborghini chairman and CEO Stefano Domenicali said:

“The next step for the Urus, appealing to a broad client base looking to continue their adventures everywhere from the city to the sand dunes, from the countryside to ski resorts, is to extend our super SUV’s features and customisability: Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program and Lamborghini colours are an integral aspect of our brand. The new options allow Urus owners to choose exteriors and interiors reflecting their personality, lifestyle, and their chosen adventures in the Urus.”

The special edition coincides with the launch of the MY2021 Urus, which brings in a number of mild updates and revisions. Some of which include a new key design, updated optional Parking Assistance, and an optional new Sensonum sound system with 17 speakers and a 705W amplifier.

Lamborghini has sold over 8700 examples of the Urus (review here) globally since its launch in 2019, making it one of the most popular Lamborghinis ever. The most popular colours have been a selection of greys, closely followed by Lamborghini’s iconic bright yellow. Order books for the MY2021 version are open now.
