Production is limited to just ten units, but those lucky enough to secure a delivery will enjoy an array of special touches, like the Alpine White exterior finish and lightweight 20-inch M alloy wheels. It also receives all the goodies that come with the M Sport package, like an aero kit and more carbon, brushed aluminum, badges and logos than you can poke a stick at.

Inside, the special touches continue, with black Dakota leather sport seats, M division steering wheel, gear lever and pedals, contrasted with some of BMW’s luxurious wooden trimmings. The special model also comes standard with the otherwise optional Plus Package including an electric sunroof, soft-close doors and comfort access.

The 640i is powered by a 3.0-litre TwinPower turbocharged six-cylinder engine. Max power tops out at 235kW with 450Nm of torque, transferred to the rear wheels via a silky-smooth eight-speed auto transmission.
