2019 Ford Endura prices confirmed, diesel-only lineup

Brett Davis

The complete specifications and prices for the new 2019 Ford Endura (known as Ford Edge overseas) have been confirmed ahead of its local arrival in December.

As we already know, the Ford Endura will come in almost as a replacement to the old Ford Falcon-based Territory. Unlike the Territory though the Endura is a five-seat vehicle, and it comes exclusively with a turbo-diesel powertrain across the board.

The engine has been confirmed as a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel that produces 140kW and 400Nm. This is matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Both front- and all-wheel drive options are available within the three-tier variant lineup. These span from the Endura Trend, ST-Line, and top Titanium.

You can check out the full list of highlight features below, but as standard, all variants come with at least 18-inch alloy wheels, LED cornering headlights, LED taillights, push-button start, dual-zone climate control, and an 8.0-inch touch-screen media interface with SYNC 3 running software.

Digital radio, sat-nav, a rear-view camera, and autonomous emergency braking are also standard, along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. With this impressive list of items featured as standard, the Ford Endura should attract a decent audience in this tough market segment. Ford Australia and New Zealand president and CEO, Kay Hart, spoke about the new model, saying:

“Endura presents Australians with an SUV unlike anything we’ve offered before in terms of equipment, design and sophistication. It builds on our extensive SUV portfolio, which now spans from the urban-friendly EcoSport, family sized Escape and through to the off-road capable Everest. Endura sits in its own space as a premium offering that we’ve previously not offered.”

The new model goes on sale in December, with prices starting from the following (excluding on-road costs):
