The MY17 Range Rover update sees the introduction of more advanced technologies, including its All-Terrain Progress Control, as well as Advanced Tow Assist and trailer reversing assist, and the latest updates for its InControl Touch Pro multimedia interface.

Perhaps the biggest news is the introduction of the SVAutobiography Dynamic. This is the grand daddy of all Range Rover models, developed by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations department.

It’s based on the flagship model, equipped with a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 churning out a mega 405kW and 680Nm. Acceleration from 0-100km/h takes just 5.4 seconds. Drivers can enjoy the fine-tuned suspension and handling by SVO, which comprises of revised knuckles, links, springs and dampers, and a lowered ride height (by 8mm).

The SVAutobiography also comes with a decadent interior with diamond-quilted leather seats, contrast stitching, Ebony perforated leather headliner, and Grand Black veneers for the dash and doors. There are, of course, plenty of personalisation options available including 21- or 22-inch wheels, and 19 new colour options.

Range Rover says the new range goes on sale Q1, 2016 – we think it means Q1, 2017. Prices start at $183,300, and from $316,000 for the SVAutobiography Dynamic.
