Fans of Porsche’s heavy-duty Cayenne can now buy the classy SUV in a new Platinum Edition model, which includes a host of new visual features. The Platinum Edition will be available in both the petrol and diesel V6 variants but only for a limited time.

The upgrade package features silver metallic details on the exterior, sport bi-xenon headlights and 19-inch Cayenne Design II alloy wheels. Inside everything is pretty much the same, except for a two-tone colour scheme and the addition of Porsche’s Power Steering Plus.

In terms of the engine everything remains as with the regular versions, with the Platinum Edition packing either the 220kW/400Nm 3.6-litre petrol V6 or 180kW/550Nm 3.0-litre diesel V6.

There’s no word yet on possible Australian market details, but they are on sale in Europe for approximately AU$98,638 for the petrol and AU$99,876 for the diesel. No doubt the short run will be snapped up quickly.
