Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake at 2012 Australian Motor Show

If fit and fast station wagons are your thing, the sweeping new Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake is about as appealing as they get, and it’s on display now at the 2012 Australian International Motor Show.

The CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake comes with AMG’s 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 386kW of power and 700Nm of torque. If you opt to add on the Performance Pack power jumps up to an impressive 410kW and 800Nm.

In the flesh, the Shooting Brake CLS is stunning to behold. The CLS is already a sleak four-door coupe-style vehicle, while the wagon format adds that extra element of coolness.

In the back you get up to 1550 litres of cargo space, while up front it’s the usual CLS with its sweeping roofline matched in with the new style Mercedes-Benz headlights and LEDs.

The CLS Shooting Brake will go on sale in Australia in December, in CLS 250 CDI and CLS 350 format initially. The mighty AMG version will join the lineup further down the track.

Pricing for CLS Shooting Brake models will be announced closer to the release date.
