Mercedes-Benz Australia has announced preliminary details and pricing for the new C 63 AMG ‘Edition 507’. This is the second most powerful and second quickest C 63 AMG on offer, behind the Black Series, and it will be available in sedan, coupe, and wagon flavours.

Using a tweaked version of the 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine, the Edition 507 develops 373kW of power, up 37kW from the regular C 63 and up 15kW compared with the Performance Pack option (358kW).

As a result, 0-100km/h can be covered in just 4.2 seconds in the sedan and coupe, and 4.3 seconds in the wagon. Top speed is limited to 280km/h across all variants.

Aside from the additional ponies under the bonnet, the special edition also comes with a number of unique trimmings, highlights, and logos. The bonnet is taken from the C 63 AMG Black Series, while a set of darkened 19-inch alloy wheels further enhance its stealthy character.

Richard Emery, general manager sales Mercedes-Benz Cars Australia/Pacific, recently spoke about the new model, saying,

“The new C 63 AMG ‘Edition 507’ presents our loyal AMG customers with an exciting model variant in the highly successful C 63 AMG range. The exclusive design, high-quality interior and stunning performance continue to redefine this exceptionally popular AMG performance vehicle.”

The German muscle car will land in Australia in September. Prices will start as follows (excluding on-road costs):

Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Edition 507 sedan – $169,407
Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Edition 507 Estate wagon – $171,407
Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Edition507 Coupe – $172,407
